The Cowboys are in a bad spot where Dak is probably never going to win you a title but he's too good (top 6-10 qb in the league) to not try to resign.

Agreed. Dak is a legit TOP 10 QB based on numbers and there are already guys getting better deals that haven't done shit in the league. I'm not even sure they would be over paying him if he's getting top 10 money but odds are good his window is closing so I wouldn't saddle him down for much more than maybe a 5 year deal. Probably more like a 3 year.

The Stroud guy is going to probably blow up in the next few years but it's a tall order considering Houston's a terrible franchise. There are a handful of guys like that in the league that will get their turn especially as Mahomes gets a bit older we'll see if he's able to make chicken salad from chicken shit. Those wheels get a bit slower, not sliding around in the ever collapsing pocket. Brady was always great in the pocket and had excellent protection from his line and the refs. Pat gets some protection from the refs but his own line gets him killed a lot.

I'd say there's room for some of these other guys to move up. I don't see Jackson ever taking the Ravens to a Superbowl. He's a great regular season guy but hasn't done much in the playoffs and gets a pass from the media. Meanwhile Dak catches lobbed turds from everybody...he's the "Arkansas batting coach" of the NFL if that makes any sense. Same thing for Allen in Buffalo...great QB but when the chips are down he's just not getting you there. Dudes like Hurtz have that pedigree that you can't really explain but it's there...won't be surprised if he gets a ring in the league.

Dak isn't looking for top ten money... he is expecting Top 1 money. He is looking to be the highest paid player in nfl history. $60 mill a year, wants a three year deal, so he can get a fourth contract at $70mil a year. He's not the guy for that money though and I think Jerry is not going to pay it for a guy that falls apart in big games. Winning in January is all that matters not mvp stats.

I think the Cowboys are figuring out that if things play out, Dak, CeeDee, and Parsons will eat half the cap. CeeDee is looking for top WR money, and Parsons expects to be the highest paid defensive player of all time. CeeDee has played well with an underperforming WR room. Parsons though is a problematic player; are his weaknesses caused by Dan Quinn's scheme and overuse? Parsons has shown his game weakens greatly after Thanksgiving; he's just beat up. I'd trade his ass and get a slew of picks.

Heard the rumors that Jerry is shopping the team to Saudi investors? I can't really believe he would sell his passion project, but the rumors are out there. The Saudis would probably pay insane money for the Cowboys. Insane enough to get even a billionaire's attention.

Those rumors are out there and have been at different times owing to Jerry being buddies with Prince bandahar in the 90's.

The league would have a real issue with it as congress nor the public would like foreign, especially Saudi ownership. If Jerry sold for $20 billion that would raise the tide for the other 31 teams so there is that angle.

I would trade dak to Carolina for young (still under rookie deal) and draft picks, take advantage of that dumbass owner.

Why do you think he's not serious. Three straight 12-5 seasons. He doesn't play the games. They've had as good draft classes as any team in the league. He's got a QB that's been an mvp candidate the past three seasons. (Dak is a loser in January)

The cap is an issue because of their good drafts. If he signs Dak, CeeDee and parsons to their expected contracts Dak would be the highest paid player in history. CeeDee the highest non qb offensive player, and parsons highest defensive player I. History. Three players taking half the fucking cap. That's not doable.

Dak cannot be traded. He's an 8 year veteran and is another version of Kirk cousins. He wants 3years $60m per so he can get a fourth contract. Fuck him. So he'll play out his contract at $55mil this year a result of restructures. He has three void years 25-27. If he's not resigned and leaves they accelerate and is a $40 mil dead cap hit next year.

Do top WRs win games or just get the highlights? I would have traded CeeDee for picks but I expect him signed or traded before Labor Day.

Micah extension talk is way premature. He's under contract thru 25, $5mil this year and $21mil in 25. He can then be franchised in 26 and 27 if you wish. He is not the disruptor Lawrence Taylor was. He shows real issues with stamina after Thanksgiving. He overpersues and teams use it against him. He's not a cohesive teammate. I would trade him after 24 for a boatload of picks. He is not worthy of the salary he seeks.

As Jimmy taught, it's all about picks. The more you have the more chances you have. The league is more of a crap shoot than ever.

Rebuild the lines. Pressure the QB. And your can win because you have depth. And trade big name players before they go into FA.
