Thanks, that is a good site.  And he has a 2.02 million dollar contract for this year.  I wonder if that is contingent on making the team or is guaranteed.  I suspect he has a good chance of making the team so maybe that isn't that big of a deal.  Perfect backup.  Can throw it a little, and is smart and will know his plays and the system.

Backup QB is the best job in sports.

You only play if the starter is injured.  You get limited reps in practice...starter gets almost all, with third teamer or practice squad guys simulating the opponent.  Nowadays you don't even have to hold for field goals or PATs.  And rarely will a team trust the spot to a guy making league minimum, so you'll get a decent paycheck. 

TL/DR:  you can make a lot of money, hang in there long enough to get a pension, and generally avoid CTE so that you still know who/where you are by the time you're able to collect it.

I didn't think the orange pants were that bad. Was at the game last night and it was odd the big screen and the TVs outside every entrance the pants came across on tv much more red than in person

Brandon only has a $700k guarantee.  He's 32.  He's probably thinking about hanging it up soon.  If they cut him I'd want him in my qb room.

I think his help in the QB room is what has kept him employed this long.

Even if he is cut, he is the kind of guy that a team can call after 5 games when they lose a qb or two and make him a serviceable backup.
