I've heard the same thing about that doctor.

D1 College basketball is already shit.  It is a really shitty version of the NBA.

The people who are pushing all this NIL bullshit can have it.  I'll go watch D2.  Once they infect D2 then I'll move to D3.

I have no issue with players being paid, as long as there is a system in place to make it as fair as possible between competing schools.  But it pisses me off when I see people make this claim as if a college education has no value.

The common retort is that "[insert functionally illiterate player name here] has no desire for and draws no benefit from a college degree."  That may be true, but that doesn't mean that degree has no value.  Keith Olbermann has no use for a Lamborghini since he never bothered to learn to drive, but if someone gives him one the car still holds value.  If Keith is too stupid or lazy to learn to drive it, that's his own fault rather than that of the entity who bought it for him.  If I hand a homeless guy ten $100 bills and he burns them all as rolling papers it's his fault.  The same is true for the college athlete who fails to use the at least six figure value of the education given to him in exchange for his efforts in athletics for 4-5 years.

Fix the portal and let NIL work itself out over time. You can't do anything about the money, but you can fix the transfer rules.

Sure glad we kept that other shooter.  You know, the one that can't shoot.  Or play defense.

I don't know the real stats, and I don't care, but I spot two glaring inconsistencies in the below.  Editing, man, it's a dying dead art.

Louisville finished 8-24 (3-17 ACC) in a season that was expected to be the start of a climb back after a 4-28 campaign. The loss total was a program record. Louisville's January win at Miami was its lone ACC victory in two seasons under the homegrown Payne.

BTW the same article doesn't mention our coach:  Possible candidates include Baylor's Scott Drew, who guided the Bears to the national championship in 2021, Florida Atlantic's Dusty May and Indiana State's Josh Schertz.

Vanover getting run pretty much the whole game tonight. Does some nice things, but he plays about two feet shorter than his actual height on offense. Mizzou leading.

DePaul is up 2 on Villanova with 17.3 left.

wow - Nova hits a 3 with 8.8 left and DePaul gaks the final posession never getting a shot off.

You just get the sense that Missouri knows how to lose a game, and is going to close out this game that way.
