The 1, 2, and 3 seeds went down in their first game. I doubt that has ever happened in the SEC Tournament.

Conference tournaments need to be revisited.  For teams that are a lock, the coaches de-emphasize the tournament and focus on being rested for the NCAA.  I know ESPN drives a lot of it, but they're likely to get a matchup between Texas A&M and Auburn.  Not dragging a lot of eyes to TV's.

They're doing this for a new preseason tournament next year. I'm curious to see if the Maui Invitational, Battle for Atlantis, etc. end up having to do the same.
