That game was painful.  We took 45 3 pointers, many unguarded.  Couldn't make enough.  14/15 of our last shots in the game were from 3. 

If we are hitting 3's we are pretty good.  Just pack it in down low and let us keep firing is the blueprint for success vs us.  We don't have anyone who can drive and score except ZZ.  Lanier is disappointing once he hit conference play.

Once you "have to" shoot 3s (which was the whole second half that I watched), and you're not making them, the hole just gets deeper and deeper, unless the other team completely tanks and stops scoring.

Exactly.  Golden and the Gators did the same thing to us in Gainesville when they blew us out.

College isn't as bad as the NBA but I'm to the point where I would like to see them abolish the three point line.  The game is just about unwatchable now. 

If not remove it, move it back to 30 feet or so and no three pointers below the free throw line extended.  Make real centers popular again and make the three pointer a bonus...part of the game, instead of having the entire game revolve around three pointers.

Just add a 4-point line and a 5-point line further out.  Make the game completely absurd.
The Hogs would shoot about the same percentage from half court as they do now from 3 point land and it would be worth 5 points.

But seriously, this is where it all started falling apart. The "value" of a three pointer is supposedly so much higher.

Several of those were contested shots Tennessee tried at the end. They could've driven to the basket to get a few freebies or get to the line when they were down by more than one possession to extend the game. But they refused to even try.

Mizzou absolutely obliterating Miss St at Stankville in a Top 20 matchup. Mizzou has beaten several ranked teams this year, including Kansas when it was #1.

Mizzou didn't win a single conference game last year.

All of that to say, there's always hope next year, boys. Having your two major transfers (Davis, Aidoo) being complete zeros, kinda has an effect on a team.

Cal was quoted today as second guessing the whole "let's just have 8-9 real players" thing.  It's like he overestimated his ability to evaluate (talent and desire) and prevent key injuries.
