"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Day has the bases loaded with 2 outs and watches two pitches right down the chute.

Of course we strike out to end the inning.

Y'all do remember the Okie Lite game, right?

Bri picked a heck of a time to not swing at the first pitch.  That was perfect.

Damn, strike three would have been too.

This game.  Furk.  Thought it was over with that hit.

It's my fault. I spouted off about the last miracle.

Son of Spam

You can't keep leaving the bases loaded and expect to win.
Well, shit...

I didn't watch most of the games during the reg season, but she seems very tentative.  Maybe from being walked/pitched around so much.  She had a couple of really good pitches to hit that she took.

In general, being whatever the lack of "clutch" is a defining characteristic of Arkansas athletics.  It goes across all sports and it is directly proportional to the expectations.  Every sport, every year.

So, you did forget what happened against Okie Lite.

And getting food poisoning is not lack of clutch.

It is just Arkansas luck.

If she has one more game like that, continuing this whole "hitless in the NCAA tournament" trend, no one around the country is going to care much anymore about her regular season stats.  Ever since she tied the SEC home run record she's seemed different at the plate, and now she's going to be putting even more pressure on herself for Game 2.  We'll see if the coaching staff is able to calm her down and get her focused on just hitting the ball.

This is far bigger than just this game, this sport and this year and even with the food poisoning, we had plenty of opportunities to be "clutch" and win anyway and we did what Arkansas sports generally do, we spit the bit as the stakes got bigger.  We had the bases loaded multiple times with opportunities to win, food poisoning or not, and simply didn't come up big when we had the opportunity to do so with our biggest players in the spotlight.

Maybe we will come up big later, who knows, but you know it and I know it over our entire lifetimes, when the stakes get big, Arkansas sports wilt when the lights get bright and have EVERY FUCKING TIME except in 1994 with the exception of track really.  It just happens and I hope they prove me wrong.

I've been drinking kool-aid this afternoon. About to switch to something stronger, so we'll see how I feel later.

I'm beginning to think that Nolan made a deal, you can win a natty but you won't get a statue. All our coaches need to take that deal.
I need help and I know it.

Yeah, well at other schools players get the flu, food poisoning, or whatever and get drugged up, pushed out onto the field or court, where they enter some sort of trance state and play the game of their lives.  At Arkansas they puke in their laps and shit their pants.
