It's like this...his time to be "great" was this past season. He wasn't. He wasn't even a good starter. That doesn't mean it wasn't the coaching change or that Ole Miss can't fix whatever is wrong but somehow I don't think we're going to miss him all that much.

Hope Bobby can corch him up. Career 60% completion rate with 25 TD and 15 INT doesn't exactly jump off the page, at least not for the best reasons. It looks like he's either been an off-and-on starter or maybe had some injury issues.

They play UCLA next Saturday night, so maybe worth a look-see.

He runs real well and was asked throw a lot of deep balls which skews his stats. I looked up his stat lines on the season and he played a lot but I figure they had another QB getting snaps as well.

Beyond that I don't know that I'm wowed but I'm not really seeing a helluva lot of QBs in the portal that move the needle. If we're legit trying to have someone come in and "compete" and not necessarily be penciled in as the starter it's probably going to be a guy like this.

Criswell or Singleton may very well be able to gain a lot of ground in the off-season under a new/better OC and new/better direction of the program now with lineman (we hope)
