What the portal is showing is that there are maybe 10 real top tier teams and then everyone else.  If someone leaves that one of those teams doesn't want to leave, they go to a team in that group for the most part.  Castoffs (or pissed offs like Drew Sanders) float down to the 2 teams I root for.

GT is in a comfortable conference for that, Arkansas not so much but they get a lot more money.

what's apparent, to me anyway, is a lot of those guys didn't go to tuskaloosa to play for the university of alabama, they went to play for nick saban.

for those that say bama will just keep rolling because they're bama, i have my doubts. two 10 win seasons from 1997 to saban's first in 2008.

That was to be expected. This almost screams that Bama hired a coach to be fired in 3 years to go get a homerun hire but didn't want to show up the old man right out of the gate.
