Hagen Smith was called up and pitched today in relief. 2 innings 0 runs 4 BB 3 K.
irritatingly incompetent & infuriatingly unhelpful

BleedinRed

Good for him.  Was one of the better pitchers to ever come through the program.  Hope he sticks.

Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

He keeps that up, he's gonna get paid.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

This is the sort of boomer analysis that makes the dues worth it.

That's a Hog on Hog crime. Franklin was placed on the 10 day due to "left hand inflammation" to make room.

Jaxon Wiggins got moved to the pen. Good chance he sees time for the Cubs late in the year.

I'm going to see Aloy and Josenberger tonight. I'll see Heston on Saturday if he's still up.

Yeah he threw only two innings, but shut out and three strikeouts. I didn't see his pitch count.

He's certainly off to a good start and will probably see playoff time.

They are pitching him 1-2 innings at a time. I wish they would stretch him out more to get ready for next year. He's only going to get to about 90 innings this year between minors and majors. That would probably max him out next year about 120-130, not a full time starter.

Hagen Smith with a 10-pitch first inning for the Sox.

Good start for your first ever playoff game and you're starting.

3 scoreless innings.  I need the Sox to keep him in the game.  I took 3+ k's (at +225) even knowing he is on a short leash.  Based on his stats this year he's at 12 or 13 k's/9IP.

No reason to pull him until he gets in trouble, the 3 (now 4) runs they have scored probably extends that leash.
