I think he was pissed that a couple of called strikes were high and I agree.  My son even said something about it as well.

There is not one sporting event that reseeds. I'm fine with it.

The bracket was set up that way.

Agree.  You either beat LSU in the Final Four or you beat them in the Championship series.  Either way, you have to beat LSU.

Now, where it becomes a little murky, at least in baseball, is when "they" put the majority of the top seeds on one side of the bracket.  It is almost like "they" didn't want the best teams in the the Championship series.  Almost like "they" wanted a group of the weaker teams to have an easier path to the Championship.

Coastal Carolina institutional statement on yesterday's ejections.

The ejections of head coach Kevin Schnall and assistant coach Matt Schilling in the bottom of the first inning drastically altered the trajectory of a must-win game for our team.  These decisions were made with an alarming level of haste, without an attempt at de-escalation, and deprived our student-athletes of the leadership they have relied on throughout a historic postseason run. This is not about a single call — it's about process and professionalism. In the biggest moment of the college baseball season, our program and its student-athletes deserved better.

The NCAA must re-evaluate how it trains, assigns and reviews umpires in championship environments. We expect consistency, communication and the same level of excellence from officials that we demand of our teams. Our players have represented this university, this conference and college baseball with integrity and heart. They deserved the opportunity to compete for a national championship with their leaders and were denied that opportunity today.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Seems like we should have issued a statement like that after we got Costello'd in 2012.  Or after any of a hundred football games where we got whistle whipped to death.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

We have gotten a few head-pat-money-on-the-nightstand statements for football rawdoggings over the years.

Quote from: Hognrock on Apr 08, 2025, 01:46 PMHe went to Arlington.  We migrated out here about 9 years ago.  Collierville has some studs in their Junior/Soph class coming up along with a couple of seniors this year, they are stacked.

On another note, I ran into the #1 C nationally for the class of 2027 last night out in Millington in the parking lot. We know him from travel ball and I had a Hog hoodie on and told him that's where he needed to go. He said he'd answer the phone. TN and everyone else is hot after him but will probably go MLB if I had to guess, but who knows with NIL and 2 more years to go.  He goes to CBHS.  Another really good kid (yes sir, no sir type).

The C I mentioned just got selected for the 18u USA team as a HS junior. Doubt he sees a college campus.

This is the arena that I hope the NIL will be of benefit. I tend to theorize that more kids will want the college experience now that NIL money is available.

What's cool about this kid and I think I mentioned it, he's a better kid/guy than he is a baseball player.  Yes sir/no sir, shakes the hand of the umpire, picks up the opponents bat on a foul ball to hand to him.  All of that.  I wish him nothing but the best but he's looking at 1st round MLB $$ next year as of now.  Great kid that I'll be rooting for the whole way.

I'm not sure there is enough NIL money to satisfy him.  He currently plays at the school that Jason Motte (former STL Cardinal P) coaches at.

So, I'm not trying to be on this guy's nuts but he reclassified to the 2026 class a day or two ago.  Should be the top rated C and top 8 overall HS player.  I expect him to go top 15 overall in the draft.  Will Brick is the one I'm referring to if you didn't catch on.

He's a beast and great kid. Friend of mine that coached with me in travel ball, his son is a pitcher on the same team.  He told his son who is a junior, well, now you only get to pitch to a future MLB catcher for 1 year instead of 2.  Enjoy it.

Not "Little B" is it? The pitcher. He isn't so little any more.

It is - you're right he's not little anymore. He's hitting 84 consistently with 3 other good pitches and a LHP.  He'll probably be their #3 this year on a really good team.  I talk to Payton pretty regularly.

He shot up in size once he hit that growth spurt. I hardly recognized him. What team is he playing for now?

Summer ball he played on Beast National or one of the Beast teams.  He goes to CBHS for HS.
