NC State just put up an 11-spot in the top of the second in Athens. No help (walks/errors) or bombs away, just a sustained rally with seven singles, three doubles and a two-run homer.

Speaking of not messing around with singles, EOE-K hit three solo jacks in the top of the first against Evansville.

But the Aces dealt some blows of their own and now lead 10-5 and batting in the bottom of the 7th.

The Vols are not getting a lot of quality innings on the mound.

UConn has narrowed the gap by 20 today and it's tied 7-7 with FSU batting in the top of the 9th.

And now Evansville is imploding. They're still ahead 10-7 in the top of the 9th, but the bases are loaded with no outs and UT has already plated two.

It's disheartening when other teams in the league manage to come together at the end of the season (like a mediocre Ole Miss team a couple years ago), yet our team wilts like old lettuce down the stretch.
