If he does land Beard then it's an absolute win for HY. Muss did great things here but he was never long for Arkansas. Give Beard a legit NIL budget and a real buyout and we're good to go for a long time. We'd be doing the coaching carousel every year with Muss.

Dixon and Pope are both better coaches than Musselman. He better hope they aren't really choices for the USC job.

This is a good question.  Two responses, I guess.  First, we don't get as emotionally attached to our AD as we do to a coach.  Second, from an AD standpoint, the A&M job would clearly be a step up, at least to me, and you can't fault a man for wanting to step up.

1. It wasn't public knowledge, nor was it broadcast in the media, that Yurachek interviewed with Aggy. 

2. A coach doesn't publicly interview for a job unless he's being offered and planning to accept the job.  You've been around enough coaching searches to know this.
