We're playing 3 freshman a lot of mins. Richmond and Knox have made strides. They will continue to get better. I think both return next year.

It's going to be interesting to see how Cal constructs his roster moving forward. I think he sees the value of being older. He's still gonna try and grab a couple 5*'s each year. I think it's just as important to get guys like Richmond, Knox, Sealy who can stay in the program a couple years. That's what you're seeing at a lot of the top program's right now (good players returning multiple years).

People have made a big deal about Davis not showing up, but to me Aidoo is the biggest WTF.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought we were getting the guy who went for 23 and 12 against us last year, not the reincarnation of late stage Lee Wilson.  I wonder if we didn't do a medical evaluation on him (and Davis) before handing them a seven figure NIL payment.  Aidoo lumbers around out there like he's slow, unathletic, and completely lost.

To be fair, Arkansas is good at letting opposing players who are not very good go for 23 and 12 against us.

Arguably Davis is just not getting the shot opportunities. He was 4-9 in FG and 4-4 at the FT stripe on a night where nobody else could make shots. His defense isn't all that good though and he had some frustration fouls. Not sure what his overall +/- is and all that jazz. 

Anyway I think it's already been noted by somebody else earlier in the season but if Fland has a off night we're probably not winning. The ball is in his hands a good 70% of our possessions and I'm pulling that number out of my ass but that's probably about right.

Wagner flopping on the same night as Fland really killed us. I think he's ok at times but he's just not overly consistent. It seems like everyone in the SEC has bigger guards that can just go right around our shitty defenders.

Fland had 37 minutes last night, and Wagner 39.  Maybe Boogie needs a few minutes early to get his breath back and see the game from a different perspective.  Same with Wagner.

The last few non-conference games we looked like we had figured out how to score against a zone.  We were getting the ball into the late just inside the FT lane and making shots or collapsing the defense.  Last night, especially in the second half, we reverted back to what we were doing at the beginning of the year...passing the ball from point to wing and back, then jacking a contested three.

The Arkansas Sports Curse broke two of the most prized transfers in the nation. I no longer doubt its power. It's something every year.

Last night was the first game I really felt we made poor shot selections. A lot of late clock situations.

If there is a positive, we only lost by 7 despite a really poor effort on defense. No urgency on offense and poor shot selection. This team is better than they played last night.
