Quote from: Show-Me Hog on Feb 27, 2025, 03:02 PMI doubt I could get close enough to any of these college guys to foul them.  I am about at statue level.
I can hang in there long enough to stroke out which would be about half up the court on the first run from tip off.

I'd get my money's worth on fouls.  Especially against Texas.

Flagrant fouls aren't going to be close calls

I will duck for cover after posting this, but I did wonder w/ the lack of depth around December/Januaryish if they would consider letting Taylen Green come over to basketball. Supposedly he is pretty good. I realize it's too late but a 6'6", 230 warm athletic body wouldn't hurt right about now. It worked out ok w/ MJ9 and Marcus Monk.

No shit. The ref would be like "No, dog. We don't have to even review that".

I know MJ9 got away with it, I remember his full court pass from the baseline, but didn't we get called out on it for Monk on an eligibility issue?

I can't remember exactly how it all went down, but I remember he had a good game when we upset a highly-ranked OU team w/ Blake Griffin.

Brandon Mitchell played some too in his time here but I don't remember him doing anything notable.

Looks like he played in 17 games total. Some freshman year, the rest a year after his senior year of football.

Joe Dean Davenport may have been the best of the football players turned hoopsters.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

He facilitated a blackout drunk night and boat ride towards Atlanta with his perfomance against Auburn when they were highly ranked.

I think I posted that on the old board.

Yes please.

It would be an interesting game for sure but I want no part of Memphis.  They shoot the 3 well, have some decent bigs and if they get hot could make a nice run.  I'd prefer the 11 seed over the 10 seed if given a choice for the potential of a deeper run.

Didn't Jason Peters play some too?

not sure who all played on the real team, but the football team's intramural squad during some of the Nutt years beat the shit out of our pomfret honors dorm team.

They brought fans too, which made it even more hilarious.

I think maybe so but more so as a body in practice.

Hyperextended knee, back "tightness," meh. In football parlance we're a little banged up. Rest 'em where you can, squeak into the dance. They should be ready to roll come tourney time. Let's go.
I really don't care, Margaret.

Matt Jones was pretty damn good at basketball.  I was at a game up there once when he got an awesome slam dunk
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

I'm hoping to not shit the bed and actually back into an #11 seed.

I meant getting them as a 7 and potentially Wisconsin as the 2. Can't do much better than that.

The Horns and Land Thieves having to play each other in Dayton makes it even better.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.
