I've already seen where The Memorial will be moved next year.

As long as I can remember, the Memorial has always been 2 weeks prior to the US Open.  Scheduling quirk this year I guess.

It's not that simple. The players want a shorter season altogether so they've had to condense the schedule.

They've gotten the cadence they want with one huge event each month March through July. Those old line non-majors like Riviera, Bay Hill and Memorial aren't going to accept a date in the latter part of summer or early football season.

This year it's further complicated by the Olympics. Next year is going to be even MORE full for some of the top guys with the new Tiger and Rory indoor league.

The other big problem is continuing to force the players into a minimum number of events in order to be eligible for year end PIP bonuses.

There will need to be a major shakeup to get everyone back together.

It's an unsustainable model. Big sponsors are likely to keep pulling out, which I guess ironically enough may help cut some events to lighten the load.

Nobody said it would be easy. I wonder if they wouldn't be better off to lose a couple of tournaments.  They don't have to play every weekend.

I certainly realize they want to maximize their exposure. But you just can't force all the big names to appear for the "signature" events when they are back to back to back.

Losing events means negative economic and charitable impact in those communities. It doesn't mean that won't eventually happen and I think is really the only outcome.

After nearly 20 years of making all the right moves and saying all the right things, Rory's image is starting to take a hit.

First, he looks childish by arguing with a caddy on the green at the Ryder Cup, and then goes after multiple guys in the parking lot, one of which is probably the most liked dude in golf.

Then he leaves most or all of his board positions on the PGA tour. Although, there's a good chance that may have been justified based on Monahan's handling of LIV.

Then after the US Open, he doesn't congratulate Bryson in person and doesn't address the media.

So much wrong with this I don't know where to start.

DRYANKNPULL

I like Bryson.  Everybody told him he can't play that way and he can't play over there. He told everybody to suck it and he'll do it his way and he just won his second national championship.

Where's the wrong? I'll give you that the Ryder Cup incident is based on perception, but the last two points are literal facts.

Bryson has won the social media wars.  His Youtube stuff is great.  He is playing against one of the kids from GoodGood Golf with kids' clubs, Wal-Mart starter sets, hickory shafted niblicks while wearing plus fours, long sleeved shirts and suspenders.  It's all pretty funny and he seems like a nice guy.

It's sort of like the golfing world has said "Wait a minute. Maybe he's not the douche that Brandle says he is".

Rory can suck a bag of dicks.  Fuck a fucking limey anyway.  It's been 10 years since his last major.  Fuck right off.

Why are the players whining with these purses?  Fuck that.    LIV has been good for them.  They can keep these events as top players never went to all of them anyway.  We don't need all of these events though; they should be tiered so that top players only go where they want.

Watch fucking Full Swing.  Even average players are flying private jets and living the high life.  Read some Dan Jenkins books.  When I was a kid a touring pro was on the road living purse to purse, drunk, and trying to find a club caddy that knew something.

The pga needs to kill the cut, go to 54 holes for most events, and pay players expenses for showing up.  I had a buddy that was on the tour in the mid 80's.  He was a quarter stroke a round from making a living and his sponsors (I think his parents and inlaws) bailed on him.  He went into sales.

he sucks and this isn't new. I mean just look at all the articles by women exes came out and his awful behavior when he decided to randomly divorce his wife only for the media to connect him to having an affair with a reporter and then him suddenly take divorce off the table because he knows good and well his wife would take him for everything he has. He sucks and it's no surprise he's a dick in real life. Fuck him
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

The LIV tournament in Nashville was a phenomenal experience. If you get the chance to go to one, do it. The fan experience is top notch.

Texzilla

Maybe the fan experience will get better when the Saudis take over college sports.

The true limeys are English.  Rory is Irish, traditionally a step below the English.  Remember, Ireland remained neutral in WWII
