Her dad's the position coach.  I'd guess there was a conversation had there ahead of time.  Women seem to hate it.  Men seem to say good for that guy.  But imagine being a dude in high school these days and knowing your competition is already some dude playing in the NFL.

honestly I think it's weird. This guy is 7 years older. She just turned 18 and she just graduated. But you know they've been dating longer. Maybe he's a good guy but no way I would let my daughter at 17 or whenever they started dating date a 24 year old when my kid isn't even done with HS. It's like that chick in the crash whose parents allowed her to basically move in at 17 with an older guy and do whatever the fuck she wanted and look how that turned out. Not saying g this is the same but let your kids be kids. What does a 24 who can drink do with an 18 year old besides fuck

Edit: her dad was his college position coach, finally saw that cleared up.  Anyway, maybe he doesn't drink at all.  Maybe the dude's the most wholesome guy to ever grace the NFL.  I actually don't know they've been dating longer.  I don't know if he's been banging her since her sweet sixteen party.  I don't know if he's been buying her and her friends alcohol on the weekends, or if he's actually done anything illegal at all.  If the dude was in college and waiting until she finally turned 18 to date her then that's definitely not the societal norm, but until her parents start saying she was groomed then it's not worth losing sleep over.

I was 26 and my wife was 19 when we met. Married at 28/21.

That was 34 years ago. So it can work.

not sure how much political leaning had to do with the move. chicago literally didn't have the space to build a new stadium in the city , and indiana is still using one billion in public funds so it's not the flex that guy is trying to make it out to be.

Also appears to still basically be Chicago judging by the map I saw. I'm not super familiar with the area but it's not like they moved across the lake or something. Not as bad as 49ners moving to San Jose for instance. Chiefs moving out into Johnson County, KS isn't a big deal either. 

For the city of Chicago it does mean something regarding tax revenue I'd imagine and that would probably be the only political flex to be had here.
