Cali has a crazy new NIL law proposed, if not passed.

A patchwork of laws is going to make NIL even more confusing.

If there is going to be confusion, we might as well be leading the charge and get ahead of it for our benefit instead of sitting back and letting everyone 'cheat' while we monitor the situation and fall further behind.  I have said for years we should blatantly cheat and dare the NCAA to do something about it.  It has worked for other schools.

They talked about this on SEC network radio this morning.  According to the hosts this law forbids the NCAA from punishing either an athlete or a school for any NIL deal that is compliant with state law. 

This seems like a good move to me.  Make the NCAA adapt to us instead of the other way around. 

I said for years that the state should have passed a law requiring the NCAA to follow due process under the law for any investigations or punishment.
