I've never seen the wind blow as hard for as long as it has around here over the last two weeks.  Day and night with no let up.  I've had pool furniture scattered all over the yard and in the pool, cushions across the neighborhood, fences and trees down.  All of this just from regular non storm winds.  Some of the gusts yesterday were nearly blowing me off the road.

I'm a flight tracker nerd and I was looking at flights going over.  The ones going east were going as fast as 700 mph.  The ones going west were all going about 350 mph.  Crazy strong winds up there.

It's been like West Texas or OK the last few weeks.

As a kid living in the KC area we had wind like this at certain times of the year so much that you got used to having to lean into the wind when walking. But yeah the weather patterns are freaky weird right now...and you guys thought controlling the weather was a weird conspiracy theory. Or it could be that it's just spring time.

I've found three broken pine limbs in my yard or on my patio so far.  Nearest pine tree is at the back corner of my neighbor's yard...had all mine taken out two years ago. 

On the positive side, at least one of my dogs still functions as a watchdog.  When the last one hit our upstairs deck last night she was ready to go tear someone a new asshole.  Made me feel confident that she would give me enough notice to put the red dot on an intruder's chest.

This wind shit is normal here. Everytime there's a nice day it's 25 mph winds worse of closer to front range. We had damn near 50 mph winds Tuesday night it was insane

We have a daughter, son-in-law, and a couple grandsons that live in Heber Springs, just past the little dike and before you get to big dike (yeah lots of lesbian jokes to be had there). Fire broke out at big dike yesterday and they were advised they might have to evacuate. After hours of fighting it and bringing in bulldozers they finally got the fire under control not very far from their house. She said the smoke was so bad she couldn't see her barn, which is a couple hundred yards from her backdoor. I think there were three major fires over there yesterday. This one was the largest.

Cleveland has a shit ton of wind as well. 40-50mph wind gust seem to be common enough in the late fall through spring. I hate it.
