Yes, we could have won it.  But it was a remarkably gutsy performance by a really shorthanded team.  Someone floated on X that we would be a 9 seed if we won, and a 10 if we lost.

I'm just as glad we lost.  Those 8-9 seeds are brutal.

the way the committee has worked in recent years conference tournaments have little or no impact on seeding. That being said I have to think losing to South Carolina might have hurt us if it come down to who was gonna get left out. As it is we got a W in one and looked very competitive in the 2nd so I think we're a solid IN at this point.

This is a weird year where the SEC is supposedly going to get a lot of teams in so that might impact how the down range P5 At-large teams are seeded also our league has been known to lay eggs in the tournament but we've (as a conf)  looked strong to very strong all season so there's that

It sucks to lose the way we did but if it knocked us back to a 10 then I'll happily take it. An 11 would be even better.

Yep. Getting hammered by the Tigers would do nothing for the teams overall morale. Being down so much early, coming back, only to lose at the end should motivate them to finish the game when they have a chance.

how the fuck that happen? They literally just got their asses handed to them by Miss State. They literally finished with 3 conference wins and are 3-15. They literally are garbage and we have won 8 conference wins. They got clobbered yesterday by almost 30 points how do these fucks get a seed?
