What a tough basketball game. I have no idea how Florida won. They mostly looked befuddled on offense the whole night.

I can't remember a FF with more meltdowns in the last couple of minutes in a game. Duke's vs Houston, Houston vs Florida. It did lead to exciting finishes, but did the best team that night really win? Duke looked better for 39 minutes; Houston looked better for 39 minutes. Neither could seal the deal.

I'll try to not brag too much about my epic bracket victory.

Lots of close games at the end almost as if the tournament hoped to manufacturer that magical moment (Bryce Drew/Cam Dollar) but you can't do something artificially that was occurring naturally on it's own merits.

This may be among the most chalk tournaments I can ever remember. Some of that breaks down to a new norm in this NIL world. To break that down further if you are good...you are going to get scooped up by a bigger club leaving far less talent to bring forth upsets. This was also one of those rare tournaments that any one of about 12 teams could have legit won the whole fuckin thing. I mean we tell ourselves that every year but deep down know it's gonna be down to whoever the 4 to 6 best teams are. This season seemed like nobody really knew who was the best. Florida seemed to be pretty consistent winning and flying just under the radar for a good deal of the season.

To anyone saying Arkansas would have gotten beaten if we got into the Elite 8. I submit we were playing as well as anyone in the country mostly defensively. Nobody knows what would have happened. That could have been us derping our way to a NCCAT Championship and not Florida.

I cannot imagine how I would feel if that was the way Arkansas lost the national title.

Ah, sure you can. It's not like they let a pop foul drop between 3 dudes to clinch a natty or anything.

That's something that crossed my mind in the last minute.   It was exactly the kind of game Arkansas would've needed to win.  Great defense negating outside shooting. 

I was one who thought Florida would've beaten us handily, but if we had gotten them into that kind of game we would've had as good a shot as anyone.

Really well seeded tournament and a really balanced final four.  Have those teams play that same mini-tournament five or six times and you probably get four different winners. 

And like the rest of you, Arkansas (and Texas Tech for that matter) could have been plugged in there and you could say the same thing.

I got as high as I think tied for 9th place nationally in 2013, and finished in the 140s.  It was the year Louisville beat Michigan for the title...had seven of the elite eight, three of the final four and the final two.  Fuck you Wichita State by the way. 

It's the only time I haven't been complete ass in a bracket contest.
