what's wrong with getting texass at home? seems kinda weird to me to complain about not having to go to austin.

Quote from: flash23 on Jun 18, 2025, 11:17 AMNo home and away with Texas this year, which is bullshit. We get LSU, Auburn, and Missouri as our home and away. I'm so goddamn sick of them pushing that Missouri series down our throat.

I'm fine w/ getting Missouri twice given our non-conference schedule this year. But they should swap Auburn w/ Kentucky.

they rotate the third opponent. it was texass last year and now auburn. our scheduling with kentucky has been weird the last few seasons. played at their place the last two meetings, two at home before that.

really have no problem with auburn. those should be great prime time games.

I would just rather have a game with a historic rival, not Missouri. Auburn is an exciting matchup and it'd be nice to get them back for that 30 point blowout under Muss last time they came to BWA.

Cal announced we'll play Texas Tech in Dallas this year. So including our SEC schedule we will play every team that was in the Elite 8, along with a game against Baylor and Louisville. When was the last time our OOC was this stacked?

I guess there are two theories.

One, we know we'll make the tourney, so let's get as much big game experience as possible to get ready and try to avoid another soul-crushing-Arkansas-style defeat.

Or Two, Cal know's we're going to kick everyone's ass.  (there's probably another soul-crushing-Arkansas-style defeat at the end of this option too)

assuming we have a good season, losses (not too many) to those teams will help us come selection day.

maybe even squeak by lsu in rpi.

You know they'll be ahead of us in the first NET rankings of the upcoming season.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Hopefully it's that Cal knows we're going to kick everyone's ass. I saw today that we have over 40% of last year's scoring back, which is most in the SEC. So we go from being the least experienced team to the most experinced. That's gotta count for someting.

Cal is a winner and not burdened by inferiority complexes.

I like that we don't shy away from playing multiple top teams.  Lets kick ass.

Last year showed that the NCAA isn't afraid to put teams with mediocre records in the tournament as long as the schedule is difficult.  Bring it on.  You (re)build a program's prestige by playing in these types of out of conference games.

No to mention the national exposure, televised games, getting talked about on ESPN. It matters. It's brand building.

I know it won't happen, but is it still possible for Thiero to return if he doesn't like where he's drafted?
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

No

vegashog

he was a borderline 1st rounder, so him not going last night wasn't a huge surprise.

more than likely he has a deal with a team that picks him early this evening.

I need help and I know it.

Did that other dude that was a center/forward for us get drafted
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

DirkPiggler

Against my better judgment I went ahead and submitted a season ticket request.  I'm slightly above dead center in the priority points rankings, so I have no idea if they'll make it to me.  Worst case I can always decline to purchase if I don't like what's available.

With the schedule we have I feel confident I could sell enough on SeatGeek to offset most if not all of the cost the way I did baseball this year.
