In my view we got damn lucky on the call.  When the replay showed Pringle grabbing that guy's jersey and shaking him, I thought for sure he would get called at least a flagrant one.

Note to self-- I don't want to meet a guy like Pringle in a dark alley.

If he hadn't of done that then we likely get free throws since their dude was the one who started the whole thing. I think off setting could or techs or whatever they called was the right call.

I love Acuff, and he has more upside than DJ, but when the game is on the line I still trust DJ with the ball more than Acuff. It boils down to maturity. Carter Knox thrived last year with DJ running the show. Knox has been abysmal with Acuff running the show. In fact, it doesn't really look like any show is being run with Acuff at the point. Everybody just stands around and watches Meleek. It's only November though.

I'm afraid Ewin is going to be a bigger bust than Adoo was last year. Pringle is okay, but that's about it. We have no one who can score down low.

I think Cal is giving Ewin every opportunity he can to earn his minutes during these mid major games. He hasn't taken advantage of it. I think you will see more Brazile/Pringle as the year goes on.

As for DJ vs Acuff, I want Acuff in if we have the ball, but want DJ in if we need a stop. Acuff just had an off night tonight. He'll be fine.

Yep.  I'm not so sure that Cal doesn't mess with rotations to keep some of these "easy" games close just to let the team learn and to see how different lineups work together.

That can be dangerous if the other team gets hot from three late or a few players have a rough night.

No foul. Double technical fouls that count against your foul count. That was Winthrop dude's fifth so he's gone. The double techs offset so nobody shoots free throws. 

Everyone else got ejected for coming off the bench.

I'd almost rather see these guys have to struggle and forced into end-of-game scenarios than to look like the UNLV Runnin Rebs of 91 out of the gates. It's a marathon not a race. You want them to have a sense of urgency but on the same token I'd rather they not get the big head. 

I can't comment on who looks like shit mostly because I haven't been watching the games. Ewin was the guy every wonk said looked awesome in the preseason hasn't really pissed a drop so far...at least Adoo last season had an injury excuse for his slow start. They were talking up Sealy the other day and I see he got like no time in the game. It's going to be hard for some of these guys to break into the rotation without injuries to others. 

I think the big concern going into the season was going to be our lack of a true Center...we don't have a thick boy eating up paint. We're all tall skinny dudes that are mostly athletic and some have motors and some have paychecks. 

Wagner is one of those guys everyone seems to like but you look at his stat lines sometimes and wonder what the hell. The kid should be giving a consistent 10ppg, 5apg, and maybe some steals etc. 

I do agree we're letting Thomas and Acuff get dialed in and Richmond and Wagner are the older guys that at least on paper should be in more leadership roles. It's going to be hard to keep Thomas and Acuff off the floor but if you get all these guys going and clicking it's going to be really special. Richmond I think is still going to be one of those guys that can give you big time moments without really filling out a stat sheet akin to Devo.

There was a play last night where he dove for the ball, didn't get it, and then kept after it for like four more dives on the ground and somehow ended up with it.

He was going to get the ball no matter what.

I spotted our issues within five minutes of the 5v5 scrimmage. Ewin is a no show. Pringle will always be in foul trouble. Transition D is a big problem as well as rebounding. The D can possibly be cleaned up not sure about the rest. Knox is pressing and we need him to get it together.
