What can/should we do to maybe possibly hopefully get over the hump next time?  Great season at the plate, fall flat in Omaha... bring new energy in to replace Nate Thomson?  Keep him and count on him to make whatever changes need to be made to our plate approaches?  Pregame cocaine lines to slow everything down?

In the postseason, the SEC POTY is 6-24 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 5 BB, 8 SO and 8 LOB in six games.

Both home runs and five of the six RBI were in the blowout of Creighton, the other was against mighty North Dakota State.

If anyone in the field is equipped to win after a game one loss, it's us. 

But if we swing the bats the way we did tonight, we can lose to anyone in the country. 

The only thing that encourages me is that we had some series like that this year where we looked like retards in the first game only to come back with a vengeance the next two.  Ole Miss, Tennessee, even Georgia even though we ended up losing Sunday in extras. 

If the humiliation of one loss is enough to get this team to play to anywhere near its talent level, we will be fine and probably make it at least to a winner take all vs LSU.  Or we can channel the failures of previous teams and shit down both legs en route to a 2 and Q.

I don't believe that at all.   There is a reason they didn't dogpile last weekend.  He and the rest of the team knows that their ceiling is higher than that.  They just weren't mentally ready for the moment.
