Someone kill Stanford's coach in his sleep, or when he's awake.  Just, whenever.  His pitcher has thrown 334 pitches in the last 10 days, including 156 last night.  With an 8-3 lead going into the bottom of the 9th, Stanford sent him back out to complete the game.

Barely and is still often injured.  $50 he never plays a game in MLB.

In 3 seasons in MiLB, he's pitched a sum total of 65 innings and has a career ERA of 5.79.  He pitched the game of his life against us.  Probably threw too many innings and will likely never pitch an inning in the majors.

That game was a lot more about our heads being mush than anything Abel did.  He might have broke 90 mph with his best fastball once or twice that day.  Kole Ramage could have shut out our lineup after what happened the night before.

Not to be a contrarian, but I knew it had to be close and looked it up to make sure: over those 10 days in 2021 that we'd all like to forget, Kopps threw 324 pitches in 5 appearances.
