Cal started his postgame presser talking about how close OU is and how good they are and how he would not want to play them in the near future. That they are going to win games. They compare to us at the beginning of the conference season last year. This can be interpreted in one of two ways, and probably both.

(1) He knows Moser is on the hot seat and he's putting in a good word for him, the best he can as an opposing coach, out of fraternity loyalty and the goodness of his heart.

(2) He knows Moser is on the hot seat and he would like to keep him around, much like when Saban used to praise Nutt. Or any SEC coach praised Pittman.

Moser is a good coach. I'm not sure he's adapted to the change in personnel management required now with the portal and NIL.

Not sure OU is diverting enough resources to basketball to give him what he needs, either
