Quote from: Pig Benis on Feb 21, 2026, 11:41 AMI just did the hard refresh you mentioned above. The sunshine icon is at the top now. I'm on Chrome on a desktop.

Thanks (phew!).  If you click it, does it switch to dark mode?

Yes sir 👍🏻
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Alright!  Noting for future fixes:

** Mobile: on tap, User Actions overlay generates menu options vertically distant from viewport, requiring scrolling, if the user even figures out what's wrong
** Mobile: breadcrumbs get compressed to Woopig.org > [Current Topic] only, making navigation difficult

Looks good on both my browsers in desktop. ULAA (chrome based) and Firefox both running in a Wayland windowing manager.

Ulaa on a 4k monitor text is legible

Firefox on 1080p monitor is a bit big but I can just Control + Minus to back it out.

I'm going to sit back now and drink my Romulan Ale (Blueberry Lemonade

We're all getting old here, son.  But yeah, I'll see how I like it in practice and maybe back it off a little.  I'm trying to have the theme be 100% unified across browsers, desktop and mobile, no theme switching.  There's probably a way to dynamically adjust for mobile.  You can also reduce Safari's font size just for you, but that may then apply to every website you use.

It's better on my phone in safari on dark mode however the borders between posts still is giving me blurry vision
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

We may need to increase the contrast between the post box and the black background in dark mode for that.

Out of curiosity, what's better about ULAA?

Looks good OQ. The font is a little big but I can deal with it. My bifocals need the work.
Well, shit...

Short answer: I like it and have been looking to migrate away from Firefox as it just seems like it gets slower with every update and they keep adding all this shitty AI to everything. ULAA doesn't seem to give many fucks about AI.

Long answer

I just tried it out a couple months ago and liked how it divides up profiles so that you can easily have a work profile vs personal and so on. It's pretty security focused and really doesn't have much of a look and feel of a chrome browser. I've tried many chrome based browsers (Chrome, Chromium, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera...they are mostly all very similar and work reasonably well)...I think you can probably even do the profile things with those others but ULAA makes a point of steering you toward that right out of the box. There's also stuff like split view which can give you kind of a tiling window manager view without the tiling window manager part so you can be looking at woopig while also using the browser for other stuff in the other pane. You can also put tabs into groups to help organize if you one of these people that have like 30 tabs open at the same time. split view is really good on a large 4k monitor...again this can probably be set up on any browser ULAA just made it a little more seen I guess. I knew about those features before but never really remembered about them. You can also do multiple split view tabs.

The one thing that seems to be a bit of a dud with all the Chrome but not chrome browsers is syncing can be really hit and miss and kind of a pain to set up. I've gone to ditching browser password managers and have my own instance of Bitwarden (Vaultwarden) running on Unraid, that container has it's own tailscale ip so I can use Vaultwarden on any device that has tailscale and it basically acts as a reverse proxy without all the fuss. So all my shit including credit cards is stored locally and not on somebody else's computer. I've already completely erased my firefox passwords and will eventually do google too but I need to probably be a bit more delicate with that since my sister likes to use my shit and save god only knows to it (she aint getting access to my Vault). In a perfect world I would also completely erase all the passwords from Bitwarden in the cloud as the password manager programs are huge targets for cyber attacks. Anyway that's been mostly my focus lately along with setting up all that AI shit for my security cameras which has been a learning experience.

Anyway point being no matter what browser I'm on the password manager is the same experience. Or at least that's the idea. No autofilling coming from the browser meaning they are logging keystrokes, aren't saving your addresses, aren't trying to save every little thing about you because you just turned off that shit off and are relying on your own server to serve that information to you as needed. So it works pretty well that way. I was trying to take it a bit further this morning by even removing the btiwarden browser extensions and relying on the pc for that but on my desktop at the house it seems that was a bit too fucked up so I abandoned the idea for now. My tiling window manager (Niri) isn't playing nice with all this polkit this and authenticator that and the google machine isn't much help. Niri is just too new for the AI's to really know what to do with it. But ideally you could have each pc have it's own program (bitwarden, goldwarden, vaultwarden) managing passwords and autofills and not have any browser extensions to have to keep logging into to.

Preaching to the choir, my friend.  I have a plaintext .odt file now that's gitignored for non-critical website passwords.  The standard password management on macOS and iOS works really well for non-technical use, but I'm managing everything now on linux and don't trust anything besides my private text file.

I've began using authenticator apps for multi factor auth and that works pretty well...I like it over it trying to send a text to my cell phone. It never fails I'll need to open something and can't because amaze balls the cell service went to shit right when I needed it most.

Stuff like Yubikey would probably work well but I don't know that I'd like having to rely on carrying that around or getting multiples just to log into shit.

I just recently figured out I could have been using Bitwarden instead of Google Authenticator app but whatever. I think I can probably use both at the same time but that gets into the weeds. Some day I'm going to try to really deGoogle my shit

Hell Reddit is real bad I have to log in by "email me me a link" + be on that very computer/phone and click the link then it wants an authenticator app token on top of all that.

Thanks for all this!

I'm having the same problem.

How do you do a refresh on an iPad?

Firefox

SwahiliSteve

Also on dark mode in safari there is no barrier between posts. In light mode you see a ligtt hr wt bar strip across the name and avatar but i think if that was for defined and shaded or something it wouldn't look like im scrolling through one continuous post. The thing i have the most trouble with is it looks like one continuous rolling page. It's hard to decipher between each poster like before

Breadcrumbs and dark mode borders are noted for next release.

Show-Me Hog

It looks much better and I am able to tell where one post ends and the other post begins, much better than last night.  The large font isn't that annoying and I can probably mess with it on my phone anyway.  Google Pixel 9, Android

Do we even like the post content font as it is? It can be anything. I'll make it Comic Sans for Swahili only.

Getting used to this board. Not bad. Thanks OQ.
