- **Auto-collapse**: Long quotes are clamped to a ~4-line preview with a fade gradient
- **Show more / show less**: Click anywhere on a collapsed quote to expand; click again to collapse

I have no idea what this means.
I've clicked on the quote and nothing happens.
I need help and I know it.

Yea stop doing that it's hard on the eyes. Board is fine now
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Edit to add: Ooh, good catch!  It doesn't work as expected on mobile.

It works on my phone, it doesn't work on my laptop

The board is fucked up because of the font bullshit. Why do quotes need to be expanded/contracted?
I need help and I know it.

Should work everywhere now.  I know it's a pain, but changing javascript requires a hard browser cache clear.

The "show more" quote expansion does nothing on my Google Pixel 9.

I can't image how pissed off a guy like Buff is with all these hard resets.  I'm sure it clears all his porn sites and he has to enter his creditials all over again.  Its a pain I imagine.  Thougths and prays going out...

So collapsed quotes is a pretty standard modern message board feature that we've never had before.  It's meant to be a convenience.  Presumably, if you're reading along in a thread, you've already read what's being quoted and just need a line or two to remind you what it is.  This reduces the amount of scrolling and the length of the page that has to be loaded.

It *should* be working on all devices now, with a cache clear.

But I should've asked.  If the majority of us don't want collapsed quotes, I'm happy to roll it back and we can just scroll through them as before.

Hard reset the browser page makes the quote work right on the computer.  That's CMD+OPTION+R on Mac.  No idea about on a  lesser PC.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

This works for desktops, but on iPhone (and maybe other mobile devices) you may have to go to Settings App > Apps > [Your Browser, e.g. Safari] > Clear History and Website Data.  If we want to keep collapsed quotes, that is.  I know it's a pain in the ass, but this particular script gets stored aggressively in long-term cache.

I like the feature and hope we keep it.

If you do that, doesn't it remove all automatic login and password information for other sites? If so, not worth it.

I've just tried something on my end that should reset the faulty .js file for everyone.  Try just a hard-refresh on woopig and let me know if that doesn't work.

No. All the websites will be cleared, but when you go back to a website that requires a login, your login information will still be there. You'll just have to resubmit it to log back in. At least that's the way it worked on my phone when I did the hard reset.
