There's an article out there with an interview with Devo post game. Devo pretty much said he wasn't allowed to play the way he wanted to. You often here Muss talk about player's playing their role. That's a big thing with him. That's pretty much what Battle was eluding to.

If you remember, Jordan Walsh made a very similar comment (to Devo's) after he left.

Davis said he couldn't play his game the way he really wanted. Entering Thursday's game, Davis was averaging career lows in scoring, field goal attempts, field goal percentage, rebounds and steals.

I'll say this about players.  Over 4 years they don't typically get worse.  

Devo is worse today than he was as a freshman.  On that freshman squad he played the point and was a dynamic defender. He was really good. Something is wrong and it simply is not right to say it is 100% Devo.

I think Devo is a system guy.  I think he excels in a traditional college system.  He is not a one-on-one or a guy on an island player.  He needs four other guys on the court doing basketball things within the confines of a system.  

I think the individuals on the team gave up almost as soon as the season started because they realized their coach didn't give them a system to succeed in.  

Everything we saw this year is at the feet of Muss.
