Just about everyone in the league looked as bad as we did if not worse, most against comparable opposition.

They're 110th in total offense and 118th in rushing at a whopping 2.7 yd avg and 79 yards a game. They do get their stud wr back for this one, but I'm pretty sure we'll somehow squeak out a win against this offensive juggernaut.

they beat a team last week that's averaging 1.5 points a game by 14. but they would beat kent st by a bazillion so that has to mean we lose.

I took it as we stuck to our game plan of our new offense/defense and worked to see what shows up on tape using realistic plays that we'll be using against better opponents. What the Gus bus did the prior week doesn't prove anything. Knowing UCF/Gus they'll get their ass beat by somebody they shouldn't later on if not multiple times. 

I figure if it was a matter of adding a couple more TDs on the board maybe would could have. Certainly could have put 1 more on late and choose to just eat clock and get out of there. Very nuttish. Fans want 77-0 and really there is no call for that shit. LSU didn't need to eviscerate Rice like that. What did that prove? Nothing they still lost to FSU who is still subject to being fools gold this season. Sure I want to skullfuck everyone we play but do it tastefully.

I don't think the staff was happy at all with the game. I think they felt like in the first half especially the first quarter we came out flat and sluggish. That's something that seems to happen with a lot of SEC teams prior to waking up and putting the cupcake away (something I know something about) and overall I think it's about managing the team...don't let them get too high on themselves too soon because that's basically what happened last season. Leave them thinking your are not happy and wanting better out of them. This staff is not Petrino demanding pissing excellence but maybe just maybe it's better than last season's staff and is more focused on getting guys ready to play. Last season pretty much felt like we the staff mailed it in after our start where we were ranked early in the season. After Missouri State and A&M guys were getting their resumes polished.

Something we shouldn't overlook is the fact that they have a good QB who's played a ton of ball.

Slovis is 7th and 5th all time at USC in passing yards and TDs, respectively. He's got 39 starts over 5 years, so he's not some underclassman chucklehead who's going to get rattled easily by our crowd.

The breakdown that Power Hour did on our game showed that Kent State's QB made some terrible reads and decisions. It'll be interesting to see how our D matches up with him. 

At least they don't have #12 who obliterated us last season.
