Quote from: BASS on Jul 17, 2024, 10:26 PMHe wouldn't do well in church League softball. Too many pitches right down Broadway.

Every time I see something like this I wish the broadcasts would start putting up a strike zone box like they do on MLB games.  Not every strike is "right down the middle."  Most of the pitches Diggs took for strikes in early counts were marginal...strikes, but usually on one of the corners.  For that matter most of the ones he took for strike three were as well.  Had he swung at those on the first pitch and tapped weakly to first base we would have been on his ass for being impatient.

Y'all act like pitchers are throwing 85 mph flat fastballs right down the heart and Diggs is taking them.  That is not the case at all.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

He also clarified that you can still give partial scholarships which helps the mid-majors who can't afford 34 full rides.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

I have been seeing clips of Cal coaching em up.

Is "first practice in mid-October" and "no contact in the off-season" not a thing any more? Now that they're basically full-time professionals?

Tony Vitello is now the highest paid coach in college baseball.

Dang.  $3 mil per for 5 years.  Got that bag.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

good for him, but with that is going to come major major expectations. there is a benefit to being #2 in salary.

Yeah, who wants high expectations for their team.

Not Hog related, but a player from Florida just stole home to put them ahead of Texass in the LLWS. The catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher who turned his back and ambled back to the mound while the runner at third took off. Tuck Fexass.
Well, shit...

And let me guess, the Florida coach hooped and hollered like he just won THE World Series.

That guy is a piece of work.

It was actually a great game. Back and forth. Florida finally won it. They play some Chinese team for the championship of the world.

Doc Hogaday

Florida is channeling Arkansas the way they're leaving runners in scoring position.

#235
that probably should have been a dead ball strike.

good challenge. and that's a hard call since it happens so quick. but his hands were over the plate.

damn, that check swing call for the 3rd strike. Shades of the call that ended the Giants season in the NLCS.

They made up for it on a third strike check swing just now. No way it was a strike.

Yeah, those were two atrocious calls.

At least now there's a re-set and both teams still have a chance.
