I didn't see all of it but it was meaningless. Maybe it was about a check swing not called because he went after the third base ump.  He's such a tool.

That's correct, and it was a balk. I would argue that his tantrum was less about the balk and more about trying to intimidate the umpires.

Same here.  I hated Calipari far more than I ever disliked Vitello.  I'm Team Cal all the way now.

One of the incidents last night, that a lot of people are criticizing, was him trying to protect his best player from getting thrown out.  The player was getting mouthy with the ump and Vitello jumped out there to take the ump's attention away from the player.  As far as his reaction to the balk call, I've seen DVH do far worse.  I wish there was a compilation video of DVH in his early days as a coach.  He was much more vocal and animated than he is now.  I remember friends, who were fans of other teams, telling me they thought he was an asshole and didn't like Arkansas baseball because of it.

There's no doubt Vitello has some maturing to do, but he's one helluva coach and recruiter.  Tennessee baseball was pathetic before he got there and now they've been to 3 out of the last 4 CWS and he's only been their coach for six years.  I wish we would have a chance at him after DVH hangs it up, but I think it would be a longshot at best.

Another great game between Kentucky and NC State. Tied 3-3 in the 8th. I think I'm rooting for NC State to win it all since they got fucked in 2021, even though they beat us.
