Wouldn't surprise me.  It will be fun to watch him develop over the next couple of years.  Has 4 pitches that he can throw for strikes (FB 91-93), has MLB genes from his dad, and is a pitcher not a thrower.  Great kid and family.

He went to Arlington.  We migrated out here about 9 years ago.  Collierville has some studs in their Junior/Soph class coming up along with a couple of seniors this year, they are stacked. 

On another note, I ran into the #1 C nationally for the class of 2027 last night out in Millington in the parking lot. We know him from travel ball and I had a Hog hoodie on and told him that's where he needed to go. He said he'd answer the phone. TN and everyone else is hot after him but will probably go MLB if I had to guess, but who knows with NIL and 2 more years to go.  He goes to CBHS.  Another really good kid (yes sir, no sir type).

He lost to the Tigers as the Yankees manager in the one game he coached.    
Fuck Soggy Burrito.  Not surprisingly, he died of a stroke.

I played 3 years of HS for a tough hard ass, 6'4" 250lb coach that played DE at Ole Miss.  Very intimidating guy.  We played a shitty game with bad effort and he made us run timed poles after the game.  He told us before we started running that he would run us until we puked. This was an away game and the field turned the lights off after a while. If you didn't puke you sure felt like you wanted to.  A few parents were mad, mine said that's why you don't play shitty with poor effort.

My Sr year the coach mentioned above was forced to resign and the interim coach was a soft ass and wouldn't know a baseball bat if it was shoved up his ass.

Talk to anybody that played for the 1st one and they will tell you they may have hated him then, but respect what he did for character and life skills.  I definitely preferred the first one I mentioned.

As a first baseman (usually), I can't recall how many times we practiced rotations. In practice. On rundowns, and in situations like this. If your base isn't occupied any more, you're useless there. Go somewhere else and help out. When the catcher went to third, either the pitcher or the first baseman should be at home.

I'm sure they thought they were taking it easy on me compared to what their parents did.
