Top 4th.

Sprague-Lott strikes out swinging.  1 out.

Diggs hit by pitch.  Runner on 1st, 1 out.

Holt draws a four pitch walk.  Runners 1st and 2nd, 1 out.

(Editor's Note:  the Kentucky pitcher still has a no-hitter going.)

Rowland with the worst possible result...a 6-4-3 DP (after swinging at a 3-1 pitch that nearly hit him and fouling it off).  3 outs.

Mid 4th.  3-0 them.

Keep trying to jinx it. Maybe it will work.

I'll preface this by saying that DVH has forgotten more baseball than I'll ever know, but I don't understand his stubbornness with continuing to give Rowland chances despite having a season and a half's worth of data on him.

Bottom 4th.

PITCHING CHANGE:  McEntire in for Molina.

McCarthy doubles.  Runner on 2nd, 0 out.

McCoy grounds out to 2nd.  Runner on 3rd, 1 out.

McSmith bunts back to the mound.  Runner called out at home, but likely to be overturned on review.  Without waiting for Birmingham I'm going to go ahead and say 4-0 Kentucky.  Runner on 1st, 1 out.

Waldschmidt with a bloop double to RF.  Runners 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.

Pitre hits one to deep CF...off Holt's glove.  One more run scores.  5-0 UK.  Runners 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.

Burkes flies to CF...great diving catch by Holt.  Run scores.  6-0 UK.  Runner on 2nd, 2 outs.

PITCHING CHANGE:  Foutch in for McEntire.

Lopez grounds out to McLaughlin.  3 outs.

End 4th.  UK misses the PAT, leads 6-0.

Let's get run ruled and head back home. We ain't winning this game. And we have 2 tough series left. Our non existent hitting will kill us.
Well, shit...

BleedinRed

Outside of Smith our pitching has hit the shitter.

May be unpopular but this seasons team doesn't have what it will take to win a championship.

Almost to the minute. Adios.

Thin Red Swine

We won't win another game all year.

We are batting 13th in the SEC right now.

In 2022 we finished the year 12th in SEC batting average.

In 2021 we finished 10th.

We allegedly have the best player development facility and advanced analytics in the nation.

It's pretty obvious where the weak spot is in the program.
I'm on smoko, so leave me alone.

Yep. We're absolutely kidding ourselves if we think this is an Omaha team. Hell, I think the Supers might be a stretch at this point.

We unequivocally can't hit, we have too many holes in the lineup at any given time, we can't win away from Baum, and outside of the best pitcher in college baseball (who we practically refuse to give run support to) our pitching is fairly average.

I also think DVH's ride or die stubbornness with guys like Diggs, Wilmsmeyer, Rowland, McEntire, and Wood is going to be our undoing.

It's not like we're recruiting poorly either...at least not by rankings.

If/when this team is at home watching the Super Regionals again, Nate needs to go.

Edmonsen is case in point.  Watches two hittable strikes then swings at shit.

Is there anyone you trust less at the plate with RISP than Diggs?

He's left 5 on base by himself today.
