I was told we peaked. Or did we peek?

Peaking comes so fast it messes you up.

Big insurance run there.  Up 3.

Insurance runs don't do much for us
I need help and I know it.

I don't recall a Razorback team worse at turning double plays

I'm tired of hearing about Diggs injury.  He has been bad at the plate for almost all of SEC play.  If he is still hurt then he doesn't need to be playing until fully healthy.

Problem us. who do you replace him with that is any better? With him there is hope he turns it around. I don't even have hope for Wilmsmeyer, Jones, or Lovich (defensively).

I think you tell Diggs next game that he's to swing at the first pitch regardless of what or where it is.   Hope he can run into a fastball and get his confidence back.

Need to let Jones play LF the rest of the way.  The upside is worth putting up with a few strikeouts.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Not sure what's been going on with Stovall but he's been off defensively the last two series and making uncharacteristic mistakes.

I don't quite understand DVH's thinking with playing Diggs this weekend after he went on in his press conference this week about how he was hurt and they were going to give him some rest.

Then they PH'd him in game 1 and he was back in the lineup in games 2 and 3. What was most curious was his decision to bat Diggs leadoff yesterday. I get that's probably a thing to build his confidence, but it's been tried as nauseum this year and nothing has worked.

Diggs doesn't need to bat above the 8 hole until he proves he's turned a corner.

Didn't get to watch any of the game. However, it sounds like we played like we always do. Shitty pitching, get behind, then come back for the win. This is the weirdest team I can remember. It is nice to have a decent catcher that can also hit. Hopefully we get our pitching rotation worked out. Other than Smith, we suck.
Well, shit...

If we could get someone in the #2 starter role, we could do the whole "opener, middle dudes, closer" thing for game 3.

Tyrant needs to accept he's not a starter right now.  Maybe next year.

You pegged it.

- Molina got rocked and didn't record a single out in the 2nd.
- Wood gave up a homer to his first batter and settled in okay. He ultimately pitched 3 innings and gave up 2 earned.
- we got down 6-0 and then they didn't score again after the 3rd.
- Foutch (1.0), Mac (2.0), and Gaeckle (2.0) all pitched brilliantly the last 5 innings and and only gave up a combined 5 hits, 4 walks, and zero runs.
- we scored 7 runs combined in the 5th and 6th with 2 run homers from Jones, White, and Holt to make it 8-6
- Sandlot hit a lead off double in the 8th (could've been stretched to a triple since the RF misplayed off the wall and dropped the transfer) and then got brought in by SF from McLaughlin.

I'd say piggyback Tygart and Molina on Saturday.  Dave isn't going to use Gaeckle on back to back days.   Keep the best relievers ready to close for Smith and hopefully win on Sunday.  I'd either start Wood or McEntire on Sunday with the other being one of the Friday/Sunday high leverage pen arms.

Best case:  Tygart and/or Molina return to previous form and we go into Saturday up 2-0.  Worst case we lose and still have our valuable pen arms ready for Sunday like we did today.

Whether starting or relieving, Tygart will be somewhere in the minor leagues next year.  He's still reasonably high on draft boards due the crazy spin rates on his breaking balls.

Someone that has twitter should post DVH postgame...apparently the MSU dugout was talking a lot of trash.
