WNBA finally decided to announce their RoY winner.  Caitlin Clark got 66 votes but wasn't unanimous because 1 vote went to Angel Reese.

Also ratings are down by more than half since the Fever exited the Playoffs.

Clark is the most polarizing female athlete I can remember. That might have something to do with it. That and with the advent of cable/satellite/streaming you can watch every MLB game, every NBA game. Over saturation has diminished the excitement surrounding any single game.

I remember back when ABC aired "Monday Night Baseball" and NBC had the "Game of the Week" on Saturday afternoon. Fans looked forward to seeing the games, especially games from teams out of their local tv area and from the other league.

Plus the extended playoff formats in each league is ridiculous IMO. There used to be only 4 teams reaching the MLB postseason. Now there's what, 12? Who gives a shit anymore?

Depends on what you call ratings.  Regardless, no one gives a shit.  I don't know one person who has watched a minute of wnba and that from heavy sports families that watch practically everything.

What are the women expecting to get ?  They average $75k a year.  A bump to $100k?  When your stars can make more in Europe or coaching or selling cars it's not the picture of health.
