I'll give you Jerry West is at least in the conversation.  I think he's at least a distant 3rd behind Bird and Maravich.  He might end up being behind Novitzky, Jokic, Stockton, and Luka. 
As a Celtics fan, Cowens and Havlicek (while being very good) are not nearly as dominant as Bird.

Bird is pretty much a consensus "best white dude" to play in the NBA in most rankings.

I wasn't dumping on Bird. I think Maravich was slightly better. Bird was also surrounded by Hall of Fame talent at almost every position. 

And I acknowledge it's almost impossible to be unbiased about Bird because 1979 STILL hurts.

Cousy doesn't get the credit he deserves because the rules are so different now with dribbling he doesn't look as impressive as it used to, but his passing?  That stands the test of time and was unreal.
