I wish they'd be allowed to stand and fall on their own merits, rather than being propped up financially by the NBA and given unearned exposure by the media.  If the sport is entertaining enough, it will make it without all the fake drama and contrived personal rivalries.  Then again, they've had nearly 30 years to figure it out, so maybe it's just a charity case after all.

I've said this before but it bears repeating.  If ESPN gave 1/10th the airtime and promotion it does to the WNBA to college baseball, the latter would get ten times the ratings.  You don't get woke points for boosting mostly straight, predominantly white athletes who are almost all paying at least a portion of the cost of their own education.
