we killed them in points in the paint, 54-22, and in fast break points, 23-5. while they shot a better % from the line, it was only a three point difference.

i think if cal let them loose and run, it would have been a much different margin of victory.

It's an adequate start. Cal's teams always run hot and cold at the beginning of the season, due to Some Assembly Required.

We definitely have the talent (although our big man talent doesn't seem on par with what, say, UConn and Gonzaga has had in recent years). I am very encouraged that defense can be our calling card.

Seemed like Boogie took more than 18 shots which is still too many.
Davis can drive to the basket whenever he wants to, that was impressive.
I had to keep looking at a roster to know who is who.

The fan experience was awful.
It was unreal the number of times someone  came down or went down out the aisle while the ball was in play. It was like the game itself was a total after thought as selfies and beer were the priority. And instead of going out the middle section and around they choose to go the full length of the row.

Either college kids or recent graduates - no interest in waiting for a timeout or dead ball, very annoying.

I just thought the game was meh. Kinda boring. Nothing to get too high about but no glaring issues either. I assume(hope) the threes will start dropping for us.

I'm excited to watch us play Baylor. It sucks playing it opposite football games but I understand it. Auburn-Houston is right after our game.

I hope so. I couldn't give away my tickets. Crowd looked and sounded awful.
