Bottom 9th.

Souza, who entered in the top half as a defensive replacement for Fraser, rips a single to CF.  Runner on 1st, 0 out.

Helfrick fails to get the bunt down, yet overcomes the poor strategy and advances the runner with a walk.  Runners 1st and 2nd, 0 out.

(EDITOR'S NOTE:  Statistically now we are in the only situation in baseball where bunting makes sense.  The only time where bunting has a greater run expectancy than swinging away is when you have runners 1st and 2nd, zero outs, and you need exactly one run to win the game.)

PITCHING CHANGE:  Trey Baker (RHP) in for Stanton.

Kozeal, pinch hitting for Thomas, grounds one to second, bobbled by Riley.  All safe.  Bases full of Hogs, 0 out.  BEER HATS ENGAGED!

69ers move their infield in, and bring one outfielder into the infield to try to cut off grounder.

W. Aloy lines out to third.  Bases loaded, 1 out.

PITCHING CHANGE:  Chase Carson (WHP) in for Baker.

Maxwell singles into the vacant CF.  Souza scores.  HOGS WIN 4-3!

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Do we even have anyone who can actually put a bunt down? And I agree with your assessment.
Well, shit...

Right now a Charlotte fan is saying "We can never do anything easy. "

Bases loaded and no out...ESPN poker odds had us at 64.5% to win the hand.

Bases loaded and one out...ESPN poker odds are now down to 34.7% to win the hand.

FYI I will almost certainly be unavailable for PBP for any of this week's games.  Won't be finished at work for the midweeks.  Going up for Saturday and Sunday.  Might be able to take Friday but it's unlikely at this point.

I think I will be available. Pretty sure about Tues/Wed and Friday. Will have to see about Sat/Sun.

nice win but not sure it was a super regional rush the field and rip the jersey off the guy's back type win.

Charlotte is 4-7

I think that is more of a tradition now.

Right. It happens on most every walkoff win. Even in MLB.

Show-Me Hog

Just watched Parker Coil's immaculate inning.

6 straight takes. Batters 1 and 2 never took the bat off their shoulder.

3 straight swinging strikes. Batter 3 could not make contact.

A most unusual inning.
