They used to have a one-man scramble at a course I played quite a bit.  Only played it once and shot -7.  Since I could reach all of the par 5's in 2, it was a pretty good course for that format.  If I get two shots at the approach, and two shots to chip it close, I like my chances.

No you don't and no one is good at golf unless he is on tour and some of those guys are absolutely miserable.  If you don't play, count yourself lucky and do something useful.

I play a few times a year, usually only 9 holes at a time.

If I was honest with my scoring I'd probably shoot in the 60's - 70's on 9 holes.

Bryson just did his Break 50 with Gary Player.  They didn't do it but at 90 years old Player drove it 251 right down the pipe on the last hole.  He was doing that all day.  Amazing!

It's ridiculous. And now, Golf Galaxy and Dick's Sporting Goods have pulled Good Good merchandise from their shelves.

It's stupid.  If the guy tackled another guy, they would be screaming about toxic masculinity.  If the girl tackles the guy, it would be the best thing ever.  If you don't put a female golfer in the ad, you're not inclusive.

Heard a similar (but reverse) story of someone who supposedly met Arnold Palmer. The guy was a pretty good scratch golfer and mentioned maybe going for the PGA Senior Tour.

Arnie's advice was, hit two balls for every shot. Play worst ball. If you score 75 or better, OK you can think about it.

Consistency.

Played in a scramble a few years ago that was set up in like a "Heaven" and "Hell" format. Some holes gave players advantages (Heaven), others...not so much (Hell).
One of the "Hell" holes was that you had to play the worse shot unless it was the putt that finished the hole.
