The depth we had beyond our hurt guy was better than the depth they were missing.  Whatever, we got us a win.  Silverfish just might be the coach to get us into competition one day for that bowl-granting 6th win.  Beat Missouri in 2 weeks and I'll consider giving him his real name back.  Chaggie would somehow bring the season's worst offensive performance after a bowl week, so this is the current guy's chance to at least look better than him.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

Man.  I'm going to be honest.  I did not expect us to win that game.  I thought their QB Curtis would have his coming out party, and we would lose by at least 10.

Instead, we were balanced offensively, won the TO battle, got a defensive score, and generally played clean.  Not fancy, workmanlike.

KJ. Got bailed out on the fumble late.  He tried to lose.  Unacceptable play that you cannot make. He's got to have better ball security. I do like the run wrinkle with him, although he makes bad reads like the last 2 guys.

Good to see Antonio Jordan making plays,  Cam Settles get 2 TDs and Braylon have success. These Arkansas kids can be the ones who bring this back, and give us a good nucleus next year.

Good job Silverfield.  For the first time in 2 years my Sunday isn't ruined after an SEC weekend.

That's something, at least a start.  Thank you for getting that awful monkey off our back.  It's not fixed, but you have eclipsed our win total from last year.

I'm celebrating this, as sad as that is, but that's where I am.

I have too admit I had about given up on Jordan after he dropped the first 2 or 3 passes he was thrown.  Redeemed himself later.

Diego Pavias.

The latter.

The rest of their roster is as good as what they had the last two years.

A difference maker at QB can cover a lot of flaws.

What a weird feeling for everyone when it ended as it had been so long since a sec win, what do we do?

The other shoe never fell.

Most impressive since  Marshall left early with an injury.

The offense has been better after the change at center, very noticeable.

Grest players make avg coaches look pretty good.

A great player at a key position.

Put a Pavia type QB on this team and it would be pretty solid.

They won what 10 games last year? Took a miracle to get to 3 wins so far. Likely won't win another.

Players make a difference.

They also had the best TE in the country last year as well. He was freaking good. Won The Mackey Award.

Losing him and Pavia too much to overcome.

Quote from: BASS on Oct 17, 2026, 10:55 PMFor the hootie lovers, that was another nuttesque performance and win.

How in the hell '04 and '05 happened with Matt Jones in the backfield...
Science is still trying to figure that one out. It will be solved right after anti matter.
Hootie gave DMAC on carry against Vandy in 2005 and said he was scared to put him in because he was a freshman in his first SEC game because he didn't know how he would react.

Then the dumb coach started him the very next week against USC, arguable one of the best teams in NCAA history.

So, 1 carry against a 5-6 Vandy, starts against one of the best teams ever. Makes sense.
