I'm not super familiar with the area but it's not like they moved across the lake or something. Not as bad as 49ners moving to San Jose for instance. Chiefs moving out into Johnson County, KS isn't a big deal either.

For the city of Chicago it does mean something regarding tax revenue I'd imagine and that would probably be the only political flex to be had here.

Hammond, IN isn't exactly Forest Park or Evaston if you know what I mean.
I need help and I know it.

Quote from: vegashog on Jun 05, 2026, 02:32 PMnot sure how much political leaning had to do with the move. chicago literally didn't have the space to build a new stadium in the city , and indiana is still using one billion in public funds so it's not the flex that guy is trying to make it out to be.

NOTHING is the flex that buffoon makes it out to be.

Quote from: SwahiliSteve on Jun 02, 2026, 07:25 PMSo we are going to turn this into football players that date older womens now? There was a guy that was super young then married a chick who's way older and she's mind fucked him to stay away from his parents and now she's living high in the hog and made him a weirdo

John Daly married a woman early in his career that he thought was a little older but turned out she was like 25 years older than him.  Permanent beer goggles I guess; now that would be celebrated as milf hunting.

I don't get crazed on age differences. We aren't that removed from 15/16 year old women marrying guys in their early 20's as routine. My wife got married at 16 to a 23 yo vet fresh from combat in Vietnam.  She stayed married for 10 years to him.  Two aunts married at 15 to dudes in their 20's and were married for life.

nfl will not hold a supplemental draft for sorsby. here's part of their decision:

"The League does not have the complete record of the NCAA's investigation, and you did not provide any such materials with your Petition. Available information nonetheless indicates that, over the course of your collegiate career, you knowingly engaged in repeated and significant violations of NCAA rules designed to preserve the integrity of athletic competition. Reported conduct includes placing wagers on your own team and teammates and, to avoid detection, establishing or funding accounts in the names of intermediaries who placed bets on your behalf. There are also reports that you may have violated state criminal law.

Your Petition does not address these matters. Nor does it demonstrate accountability for your conduct or indicate whether, or how, you would adhere to the League's rules and policies governing the integrity of competition. Instead, even after receiving notice of the NCAA's decision rescinding your college eligibility in May, you sought to avoid the consequences of that determination through litigation rather than accepting responsibility for your actions, and you pursued entry into the NFL only after abandoning those efforts."

A blistering rebuke by the League and just hammers the shit out of Sorsby and his attorneys.  Lawyer saying it's against the CBA but it's all there in the doc where the league decides each year whether to have one or not.  They haven't had one in several years.

Tech told him he would never play another down due to the b12 lawsuit.  His dumbass attorney thought he'd be a slam dunk for the nfl.  Nope they want nothing to do with him.  He'll relapse before the 27 draft, being a degenerate gambling addict.
