I just got back from the game also.

1. We competed better than a lot of people thought we would.

2. Texas sure doesn't look like a national championship team to me.

Texas pretty much slept walked thru a "rivalry" game.

So is Jerry.  I've really enjoyed Rome shitting all over him the past few weeks.  Jerry was already the butt of many jokes on DFW sports radio 20 years ago.  He'll give up his spotlight when they unplug the respirator and not one second sooner.

They unplugged it a couple years ago but he's still moving around.

Looking back, no one but a rose colored glasses Razorback fan would say we ever threatened to win that game. Even at 13-7, we just weren't a threat. That's a horrible position to be in as a fan. We ought to expect better.

We had the ball on their 26 with a good chance to take the lead early in the fourth quarter.

Of course, we played for a field goal after we got behind the sticks after another sack on first down. So from that standpoint, I guess we never threatened to win.

During the broadcast Sarc was quoted as saying he doesn't understand what Royal did to Arkansas fans and why we hate Texas so much.

It's not a rivalry. We are beneath them until we get serious as program. Hiring and keeping Pittman isn't a serious SEC program.

We were two blown plays away from possibly winning that game.  That pass on the first Texas possession went right through the hands of our DB who might have scored if he had caught it.  And the Texas fumble that went out of bounds before we could recover it led to a TD for them a few plays later.  Make those two plays and it is a different game.

I will say I was not impressed with Petrino's play calling in the game.

Something that I didn't see discussed here but seemed obvious at the game.  I believe it was our first possession.  Green throws a pass to a reciever who is straight up tackled as the ball leaves Green's hand.  At the game it seemed like one of the most obvious P.I. no-calls I'd ever seen.

Also, on the punt in the 1st where they tried to block, did they tip the ball?  Because they sure as fuck roughed our kicker.

It's not. Oklahoma and A&M are all they care about. We are nobody's rival despite how much Baz tries to make that a thing.

Maybe the idiots around Jonesboro think we are their rival even though we never play. And we don't think about them at all. That's how our "rivals" think about us.

It is. And hell I lost way more than that on Texas -12.5 today. But I do want an SEC team to win it every year. Michigan and Washington was an embarrassment last year. If I had to pick out of who I want that we have left in it I guess I'd say Georgia. But they are regressing. I guess we'll see in an hour or so.

Texas didn't look like somebody that could do it today. God forbid A&M makes it in and makes a run. That would be the only team worse than Ole Klan, in my opinion.

If it is the play I think it is, I thought it was PI. However, when they replayed it on the teevee, it looked like our receiver slipped down before he was run over.
