I wonder if that hurts or if it doesn't matter at all.

I wonder what the response would be if "they" started blacking out the broadcast in a team's home market.  Wonder if that would help attendance or just piss everyone off.

I can't believe how many tickets are left for the Jimmy V classic. I figured that would sell out the day the tickets went on sale. Especially with all 4 teams buying the same tickets.

Quote from: Usafhawg on Nov 20, 2024, 10:36 AMSince NWA can't represent, we should move the early, non-conf, mid-week games to LR.

You say that in jest, but the largest crowd we play in front of prior to SEC play will be on December 14th in North Little Rock...against UCA.

I've lost a little interest in basketball because everyone has a completely new team every year.

This is where I am.  I enjoyed watching the same guys for a few years in a row and seeing each player improve over time.  Now, every year, it's like the beginning of Major League, "Who are these fucking guys?"

Unfortunately, football is moving in that direction too.

Someone please explain to me why tickets for a Friday night game against an in-state opponent are $30 upper deck and $55 lower end zone, while a Monday game against a lesser opponent from across the country sells for $40 and $75 for the same seats.

For me the game has changed too much.  I hate that so much of the fundamentals of the game have been lost.

Borenutz

I do feel like we have this topic come up every year, regardless of the team. Maybe pushing the ticket giveaway is the best thing. I can see season ticket holders not wanting to go to every single game(especially the low tier non con)and just go to the big ones. There's a lot less fortunate that will struggle just to purchase a tickets and concessions for a family of four or heck even two. I know everyone would like to recoup something out of their tickets, but it sounds like that's not happening enough. Idk, maybe the free tickets are there and still not getting used?

How are tickets being sold if the game is sold out?

HughJasole

I got two free tickets on Nobville and a buddy had an extra ticket so I took myself and my two oldest sons to the game the other night.

Parked for free across from the football indoor facility. To think I'd pay $40 per ticket to watch us play Maryland Eastern Shore? Lmfao.

I'm assuming these are turnbacks.  Can't think of any other explanation that makes sense.

If they're season tickets I might have bought those lower levels if they had asked.

I thought someone just said turnbacks were given away. If a ticket is bought, the university got their money. They need to give that ticket away. Mot recharge for it.

Agreed, or at least credit the season ticket holder's foundation account.

I am very glad the Arkansas connection left the team last year.

are those tickets just ones the athletic department are selling a little cheaper? not every seat has been sold to season ticket holders, right?

I had an appointment to select season tickets, just like last year.  About a day and a half ahead of my appointment I received notice that all tickets were sold.  I wouldn't assume they would withhold tickets if there were prospective buyers willing to take the entire season package.

Yep, supposedly all tickets were sold to season ticket holders.

AporkalypseNow

So, can "donated" tickets be resold by the University?

That's what needs clarificaiton

Bingo shitty teams, shitty times + mediocre showings by the home team. If these new kids were hitting dingers instead of clanking rims you'd have some more butts in the seats even on the slow days.

this is it, imo.

This is a non-story: Let's see how BWA looks when conference games start.

The fan experience sucks.

The seats are too small, Jon Williams and track girl are constantly yelling into over modulated  microphones at every timeout with some promotion or sponsorship thing, the band never plays and DJ music is ear splitting loud.
People constantly going to and from seats while the ball is in play.

It will only get worse with the new seating plan. much like the post-game traffic plan shuts down half of razorback road (2 lanes just empty) instead of using all 4 lanes. it should not take over 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot after a game but it does. I don't know how people tolerate it for football.
