Who said this team was good defensively?

We cannot stop the ball drive.  It's been that way all year against good competition.

I'm more worried about on ball defense than the shooting.

Looks like another long season.

It'd be nice if for once we could be the team unconscious from the floor. We're shooting nearly 50% overall but we're 4/15 from deep while they're 13/26. Good to see some things never change regardless of who the coach is or who the players are. Early season games against P5 opponents are just not our thing.

I haven't lost faith in the season, though. Once again the 3 ball is going to be the reason we lose, just like Baylor. That can be fixed, as can perimeter defense. Cal has been saying all along that there's gonna be some growing pains and that's exactly what this looks like. Thiero is a dawg, though.

Illinois can't miss so it probably wouldn't matter today anyway, but give Johnell's minutes to Richmond until he's no longer "hurt". Richmond plays like he actually gives a shit since it's his turn for the bag.
