It would be weird to have her husband (Chris Brooks) take over if she was fired/let go.  Maybe she just wants to stay at home with her baby or she may be pregnant again and wants to focus on being a mom?

What kind of mechanism do we even have in place to fire the AD?  It requires the BOT to act, and most of those people do not give a shit about sports, or really even the university.  Weird set up.

I've heard from more than one BM donor that fundraising is Yurachek's biggest weakness.  He won't visit The BigWigs in person  He doesn't get it.  Seeing Keith Carter's success at Ole Miss makes me think we should let Stoerner (not kidding) or some other Razorback player be our AD or at least assistant AD.  I don't want to shit on the guy, but Kevin Trainor never struck me as the kind of support staff who would be a big help in the ego-stroking, networking, rah-rah function required.  Fundraising is the most important part of the job now.  I hate to admit it but it would be HDN's strength if he were given the position.

Maybe we are living in the worst Razorback timeline.

The AD has to raise money especially in this era, the current one continues to prove he can not do it despite a $1.4 million plus yearly salary.

It is embarrassing but he has 4 bot members on his side somehow.

All the fundraising is done by learfield and hired 3rd parties, what does he do?

Where is the naming rights deal for the football stadium that was so close months ago?

I am done with the program until he is gone.

He uses ole miss as a comparison but as noted Keith Carter has a vision and  a plan unlike him who just steps in it every time he opens his mouth.

Dude is gonna destroy everything frank built in making the razorbacks part of the fabric of our state.

I think I'd hire Mars to do it if he's interested. 

Regardless of how stupid Yurachek is, I don't get all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over tennis.  If these people were so interested in keeping it going, why did it get to the point where they had to see it going away to start writing checks?  Wasn't the total (reported) revenue for both men's and women's somewhere around $3,000? 

Title IX is a crock of shit.  In an ideal world the Trump administration would nuke it, or at least revise it to account for revenue versus expenses.  I get the point and support women having equal opportunity but the numbers from the one sport that consistently makes money across the country dictate that it should get special treatment.  Athletic programs shouldn't have to maximize revenue in the sports people care about to subsidize an equal number of scholarships in the sports that no one watches even when it's free. 

None of this absolves Yurachek though.  Other ADs find ways to make it work and maximize revenues to keep the welfare sports going.  But most of them aren't lazy bastards who prioritize the benefits of being the athletic director over actually doing the job they're paid to do. What is it about Arkansas athletics, in particular the AD and football coach roles, that seems to attract that type of person?

If so it's kind of a hallmark passive aggressive move by HY. He does his "well I guess we're gonna have to cut Tennis" and then all the sudden all the raged out tennis fans show up making it rain. 

Still this gave Tom Mars a chance to rake his balls over HY's face yet again.
