Weather channel already taking about the impending central Arkansas river flooding.  Still 9"-12" of rain to come for central Arkansas.

I remember still living in Oklahoma and watching news reports of the Arkansas running over all the dams down past Little Rock. Seems like it was 2019.

Prayers for peace for you and her.  For me there was a calm in knowing Dad didn't have long.  The last night he was with us, he was already too weak to talk so I sat in his Hospice room for 30 minutes watching Gunsmoke.  It was the third time I visited him that day.  Saw him twice the next day before he was gone at 7:30 PM.

I knew the time was getting small with my dad, even though he was still doing his usual thing.  He was still driving himself everywhere and checking on the farm daily.  He went quick, the massive stroke took him in the middle of that shitty loss to Ole Miss(2021),  so it was a blessing he didn't have to watch the end of the game.

I took as much time as I could to spend with him and almost lost my job over it, but I didn't care.  I'd do it again, all over.

And here we are again this morning with another tornado warning in western Pulaski county.  The sky looks wild out there.

I don't remember a period of days with weather this bad for this long. I see there's a tornado warning around Hope. It'll be up this way in a couple of hours. The saline river is going to be rocking this afternoon and tomorrow.

It makes me think of my old great grandpa who died at 94 years old. You'd ask him " Grandpa you ever seen weather this bad?" He'd always say "Plenty of times." Heck I guess in 94 years you'd see it all.

I'm in Hot Springs and it's really raining hard.  But I am looking at pictures on Facebook of flooding in Texarkana that I have never seen flood, and I have lived there since 1979.  The Interstate eastbound is flooded out.  And we have a long ways to go today before this is over.

Saline County roads are jacked up

Made it to Bryant. Between Conway and Little Rock it was raining so hard visibility was down to about 200 feet. Couldn't see more than 4 stripes ahead on the interstate.

Some high winds came through here, tree debris all over mills park road, one tree broke off and was laying across the road, several down in people's yards.
