I sprayed this around the foundation last summer and we haven't had any ants since. Meant to do it again once the spring rains stopped but never did. I guess even the ants don't get out in this shitty texass weather.

Get some terro ant killer. Put a few drops of it along their travel paths. They love that shit and drink it up and take it home to kill their family.

This is the way.  If you don't have animals, I prefer the kind you put drops on the little cardboard squares as opposed to the plastic traps.

Has this now changed to the pest thread? I got stung by a wasp (or whatever) last weekend and this weekend while mowing. That hasn't happened in years. Today I found a hole in my front yard that goes into a hillside that looks big enough for a snake but those suckers are flying in and out. Would plugging it up with something work?

No. If it is those small yellow jackets, they will tear your ass up. I got into a nest of them while trimming a small hedge about a month ago. They sting and latch on. I was stung about 12 times. Then, after killing them, I got the nest. This was it. From the sound of it, your nest is huge.

Those little bastards are Satan's minions.  I ran over a nest cutting the grass about 10 years ago.  My 40yd time was faster than when I was in HS.  Too bad I wasn't being timed.  They hurt like hell and don't quit until they die.

Go out after dark and sprinkle Sevin dust around the hole. It's not as exciting as trying to burn them out but it's much easier on the skin. It does work though.

I swear by this stuff. I sent Terminex an actual invoice a few years ago because this Terro square thing worked when Terminex couldn't stop any ants. They actually mailed me a check for like $7.15 or whatever it was.

No. We had somewhere around 70 MPH winds but didn't lose power. I thought we were going to lose some trees, but we didn't. There were some knocked down around here, though. We didn't get enough rain to wet the ground. Was hoping we would get more.
