i keep my upstairs unit on 85 just to keep the air moving and prevent stagnation.  Nobody ever goes up there anymore.  We also run our pool 24/7, but I keep the house 67 at night.  This unshaded bullshit is a fucking death oven.

Our house has a southern exposure. Almost all of our windows face south. And our house is very well insulated. Our bill last month was $200. We expect it to be a little higher this month but not much. We keep the air on 75 during the day and it stays chilly inside. Move it to 67 at night and nearly freeze when you get up in the morning.

Got out there early to give my Ram truck it's once a year bath and I'm drenched but not by water. It has a lot of tree sap on it so I'll probably have to ponder that for the next year and decide what to do.

I have three sails up over my pool to keep it optimal, but I have no way of putting one over my house.the peak of my roof is 26' and there's not a tree within 50 yards of the west side and a hundred or so on the south.

The south side of mine has a 10' overhang like a ship's prow, which helps a lot on that end because I have 12'x6' windows at eye level and some 5' high stained glass lancets up high.
