Because if you get summa this LA August  heat and humidity I can't fathom nor ever heard anyone saying they desire it.
Oppressive is not even the word.

That doesn't mean I want 20 degrees and 20mph wind either.

I bet 85 and the humidity down here would have them soaked and hunting an air conditioner so they can breathe.  :)

After living here with little to know humidity and going back in August to arkansas I don't ever wanna be in the south again in the heat. It's miserable and not sure how I ever sat in a patio in 95 temps with 100% hunidity

Got back from Winter Park yesterday and that dryness fucks me up. My sinuses completely drained around Idaho Springs.  My left eardrum exploded somewhere around Limon CO. Got out of the shower this morning and couldn't believe the shit I was digging out of my ear with a Qtip.

see most of the time I have no issues I usually have a continuous drip from the nose and no dryness here

It does the same to me in really dry places. Vegas is a place that comes to mind. It's been really nice here this fall and winter to get outside and do stuff. I'll take this over 85 and above.

Today was a perfect example of a beautiful winter day. It was a cool, upper 20's morning at daylight, but there wasn't much wind and it wasn't bad. After I got home from hunting, I worked around outside all afternoon in a long sleeve tee shirt and it was really nice. Cooled off at dark and have a nice fire going.
